SERENA

Multicommunication solution for noisy environments

Type Open Call No.Funds granted
Single AEOC 3€50,000.00

Challenge

Aslogic aims to improve real-time and weather forecast information in airport environments. This will increase operation safety and, at the same time, it will also improve airport planning capacity during a runway configuration change.

Solutions provided

SERENA project will enable the integration of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in airport environments. This will allow the integration of advanced weather forecast models in airport operations and improve UAV traffic management, increasing and complementing the market proposition of Aslogic products such as HERCULES and DronAs

Consortium strength

Aslogic, thanks to its participation in Digifed Project, intends to develop drones with improved embedded sensors (humidity, wind, temperature, etc) and, at the same time, equipped with advanced communication and navigation capabilities. The aim is to achieve an advanced sensing instrument within the shape of the drone.

Business development

SERENA aims to tackle two main target markets:

U-space, which will manage future high dense drone traffic, will be supported by applying European pre-commercial public procurement opportunities as those promoted within Horizon Europe programme and its future updates.

The second monetisation path is the commercialisation to airports for meteorological decision-making services. In this field, we calculate that, for instance, in the case of the Madrid airport, we could prevent the emission of 0,7 Mt CO2 annually and reduce the runway configuration change in 10 minutes

Companies involved

Aslogic develops solutions for complex and dense air traffic scenarios. Its main expertise is the development of a Decision Support System based on the development of complex analysis algorithms, machine learning and big data techniques.
